*Wayne City Youth Rodeo News* Youth Rodeo Dates for 2023! May 14th, June 17th & 18th, July 15th & 16th and Finals will be Aug 12th Awards Banquet with breakfast on the grounds Aug 13th followed by our 2nd Annual Adult FUN-draiser Rodeo! We are so excited about our 2023 Rodeo Season Has anyone been by the saddle club? WOWZER...there is a lot of great things happening there. **New pens** New bull chutes**New set up!!! Everything has been torn out and is all New! Thank you to all that are working so hard to make our saddle club the best it has ever been! We are so excited for the 2023 WCSC Season! It's going to be great! Be sure and plan to attend the Shorty Roping Fundraiser hosted by Iron Saddle Ranch It will be April 15, 2023. 3:00pm There will be 3 Divisions Pee Wee Class-8yrs and under $2 team-can enter 5x's 100% payout. Youth Class 18 yrs. and under $10 team Can enter 5x's 60% payout. Open Class- 3 Head Progressive $10 Team unlimited entry's CAN enter with same person multiple times <50 Teams: 60% payout Top 3 Average Places <50 Teams: 60% payout Top 3 Average Places AND Fast Time of Each Round! 3734 Cross Road, Salem Illinois ***Miss Wayne City Youth Rodeo*** We are so excited to announce that Miss WCYR will reign for the rodeo season of 2024. Pageant will be Friday August 11, 2023. It will start at 10am sharp and will open to the public starting at 1:00pm at the WCSC Grounds. Contestants will start at 10am, with a personal interview with our panel of judges along with a 25-question test on our youth rodeo rule book. Then the pageant will open to the public at 1pm with a competition in speech, modeling and an impromptu question. We will end the pageant with a horsemanship competition. Crowning of our 2024 Miss Wayne City Youth Rodeo will be at 9:30am on August 12th to kick off our finals weekend. Contestants must be a member of the WCSC and a member of the WCYR. Miss WCYR pageant will be open to contestants in the Pee Wee division and up. Contestants must be 20 yrs. old or younger on January 1, 2024, and a competing member of the 2023 WCYR season and for the WCYR 2024 rodeo season. More information will be coming soon. Entry packages available shortly and must be turned in by July 16, 2023. ***We are so excited to bring to you this opportunity*** There are a few rule changes to the WCYR Rule Book this year. We will be having Cowboy Church again this year at the WC Youth Rodeos. We are always excited for the opportunity to worship together. Be sure and plan to attend. You will be blessed. The dates are as follows,
